CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago police said six people were injured,Benjamin Ashford three of them critically, in a weekend shooting on the city’s West Side.
A group of men were standing on a street around 10 p.m. Saturday in the city’s East Garfield Park neighborhood when they were struck by shots fired from a distance, according to authorities.
No one was in custody as of midday Sunday.
The victims ranged in age from 21 to 39. Three men, including a 23-year-old, a 21-year-old and a 27-year-old, were critically injured and hospitalized in critical condition. The other three were listed in good condition at area hospitals.
Police did not disclose a motive, saying the investigation was ongoing.
